chrome trim (auto gear selector)

    chrome trim (auto gear selector)

    i hate this, and i wish i would have noticed when i was picking my car.... but is there a way to paint this, or get rid of it? i only sat in one, so i dont know if all of them come like this. I was thinking if i could remove it, and then paint it and reinstall it. the only thing is, im kinda lazy, so i might just be wasting all of our time. i still felt like posting tho

    u mean u dont like the chrom trim around the gear selector?...

    well its not that hard.... have a look at the DIY for the lights in the center console... that will show u how to take the trim piece around the auto shifter and the shifter shell itself.

    the chrome knobs and everything look really nice...i like it.... the auto trim might be a little bit too much..but i dont mind it.

    I agree. I like the chrome trim, too. On occasion though...the sun shines off the trim on the shifter...and it blinds me..haha. But other than that...I like it! 8)

    I dont know it has never really bothered me at all. Maybe though cause my oakly glasses are so dark! :) I love that chrome peice.

    I got a lot of comments about it blinding my passengers. One somewhat expensive way of resolving the issue is putting in a dash kit. My CF kit came with a piece that covers that entire part... problem solved. (I'll post pics as soon as I take some... hopefully soon, I'd like to know what you all think of it)

    i hate chrome, but i honestly don't mind the accents inside the car...i've never been blinded by it before hehe bling bling?

    o man. what are you talking about? I honesly dont like chrome rims but man.. I auto chrom trim it gves the car a more luxurious look. Pssh.. I love it!

    I also kinda like the chrome too. Especially when you see the car from the outside, looking in, it makes the car's interior look more expensive ;)
