Is the jdm headlights illegal in florida beacuse of it lacks the side reflector? Are there any places that will tell me the truth?

Technically, JDM headlights are illegal in the US since they do not comply with DOT/SAE standards. If the cops wanted to be dicks, they could say this and then site you for an equipment violation.

How could they not be legal!!!, theres cars out there that come stock with black housed headlights even a freakin hyundai!!!!, but if the headlight does not come with dot approved marking, then i guess they cant be legal, but how would they know??

It won't be the cops you have to worry about with non-DOT headlight housings. It'll be the State automobile inspection people (assuming you have inspections where you are).

I've been bringing my vehicles to GOOD garages for inspection every year, since I do want to know if there's something potentially or presently wrong.

But my JDMs come in today, so I'm kicking around hitting a revolving-door garage so I get no crap about them.
