Engine So I emailed a local shop about a 3SGTE swap into my 94 Corolla...

    JT, just so you know, there's not possible way that a 3SGTE swap could be done in a Corolla for $3500 including all parts and labor. The shop in this thread had NO CLUE what they were talking about.

    lol, have you completely forgotten about mk1.5's and how many of them there are?

    to be quite honest.... an E series uses *almost* the same mounts as a C series transmission...... in fact, (at least for an e51) you can simply modify one mount and it bolts right into stock C series position.... you can easily pick up an e51 or e58 from a JDM levin (worst case scenario) and swap out bellhousings... the E51 shares internals to a turbo mr2's E150 (except differential), so they're more than powerful enough.

    the only mount you *really* need to mount is the passenger side motormount.... after that, who cares about the electronics? spend $300 on an MS setup and you're ready to go....

    and at least around here, i've seen several 3s's up for sale with manifolds for under $1,000

    hey toyota speed you lost me man..lol...but sounds like you know what your talking about.....let me know what you think would be the easiest and less costly way of doing this swap.
