    S owners look here

i got an S model...its got the black/charcoal interior...everything in the interior is black accept for the 'ceiling' and the 'vertical panels' that go up to the ceiling...these are a light beigh or very very light grey color....just curious if this was the same with everyone else...i've had my car for like 2 months and just realized this yesterday; it kind of looks odd...just curious
    :?
    thanks

Yeah...it's supposed to be like that. The headliner is a different color than the rest of the interior normally, but ours is quite a contrast. Like you said though...it's not that noticeable. If it's that big a deal to you, you can change it.

thanks for the responses...yeah, i think it would look better if all of the interior was charchoal/black...but its not that noticable.

They do that so it looks bigger. if you have a dark roof the car will seem cramped and small. Its an illusion. Every car maker does it for that same reason.

Yes. And it's important that BOTH the door pillars and headliner are light to give the proper illusion of space. If it's just the ceiling it won't have the proper effect. Just like in a house, adding some thick light color crown molding and a toned down lightened wall color for the ceiling really opens up a room.

sorry, I was a Architecture Major for a year, took too many interior design classes for it :p

I looked at the interior of my friends 04 S, and noticed some difference from my 03 S. The 04 seems to have more grey parts.. for example the steering wheel and the panels around the window buttons are grey, while on the 03 its black.

There's nothing wrong with having an auto if your woman doesn't know how to drive stick.  ;)

If I would of gotten a real chance to teach my girl, she would have gotten the 5 spd. Since I didn't she opted for the auto. If you understand my girl, she HATES traffic. Auto is also chill for driving for the most part. I, however will always drive standard. My Sentra is a 5 spd and I'll have it no other way! :D

Take off everything you have on your car, get a same color S model, and put them back on. :D I'm stuck on manual too, and that's why I waited almost 2 months just to get manual. :D
