could somone give a run down on head unit brands?

i've heard mixed ratings over a wide variety of head units. could anyone give a run down of performance geared head units that aren't ugly?

i've got about 200-300$$ to spend on a head unit and i was lookin at blaupunkt stuff but a friend of mine just crapped them into the ground and now i'm weary on buying the blaupunkt head unit i wanted.

could somone give me more input on head units [ no dvd player stuff]

    thanks. in advance.

    Head units

I would personally go with a pioneer or alpine head unit. Those are the best, expecially if you have a amp and subwoofers hooked up to it.

I have a Panasonic headunit, and I love it. I've had it for a long time, and haven't had any problems. I have a Kicker amp and subs hooked up, and it works great!
