    3157 Chrome Bulbs

Are these all the same? I have been looking online as well as a couple of tuning shops and there seems to be such a wide price differential. Are the cheapies as good as the expensive ones? cheap $9-10 pair and expensive $24.95 pair. I'm looking for the chromed amber bulbs to replace the stock amber ones

I would guess a side marker bulbs is all the same. what can be different? The wattage, but they arent supoised to be that bright anyway. If its chrome and blinks orange or whatever color you want then it should be ok right??

i replaced the OE front singal bulbs to the chrome ones a couple of days ago
they surely look better and still give the amber color when they blink
now i just need to take the orange reflector out...

the only problem with the cheap ones is that they fade like the APC's do, also alpha, urs might be the OEMs dipped in chrome, so the come out amber but i could be wrong

Well, I have Hella Magic Stars (like PIAA Ion Bulbs, except they're signal bulbs) on my S4 and they're good stuff, too bad they don't make 3157's. WTB good quality 3157 bulbs? And what make/brand is best? I bought and installed a set of cheapie nameless bulbs, from the internet, and installed them last week. Seems to look better, although the signal bulb when lit is yellow instead of orange. Do all chromed 3157 signal bulbs light up yellow?

no, they are just cheap bulbs, the dye quality isnt good. the chrome bulbs are supposed to be white in the first place. PIAA's are good, but hella expensive. if you want the white look, try Eurolites. I had those for my headlamp lights on my old car, never faded and lasted a long time too.

Actually, I want chromed (signal) bulbs that light up to be amber. I'm not into the hyperwhite/blue look. Besides, that look (hyperwhite signal bulbs) seems to attract the police like flies on sh!t...
