Snuggles, no i didnt paint it, that would take an ungodly amount of work. You have a Corolla S. the S and the LE came with white face guages and the CE came with black. that's why mine look different....

I like it cuz they light up like the lexus color....

I didn't know that Ce comes with a black guage (guess u learn something new everyday). that is ghetto. the other two models gets white and the ce gets black. i think they should give the Ce the white guage too, almost all the cars coming out now has the white faces. Toyota is so stupid sometimes. I'm sure the black ones cost just as much as the white ones. Well the black does make the interior look more unify. Yours looks like an S (at least the inside). How did u get your interior to be grey??? I thought the Ce comes with a beige colored interior. B/c like the Ce = beige, S = black and Le = grey.

P.S. i have an Le (with the really ugly interior, it would've looked so much better with the woodgrain :( ). I don't really mind, as long as it's a Corolla :D !

no no no, the S is black only, on the LE and CE u can choose depending on the exterior. for some odd reason, all the CE's in that color had beige so i had to custom order mine and wait 7 weeks for it.

I just changed the color of my bulbs in the center console to red. i got really lucky cause the color perfectly matched the red color of the hazard button. I did it by dipping the bulbs in paint that can be used on glass. That is $2.50 well spent. Here are some pics.

Notice the time? thats in the AM. i've got no life. I actually started working on this around 3:00am

Ofcourse it looks a lot better in real life than it does in the pics.

Instead of painting the bulb in the shifter, I took of the green condom and painted the back of the piece of the plastic right behind the "P","D","2" and "1". Notice the line i added next to those. Had to scratch off the coating with a knife on the back of that plastic piece to do that.

it's all purpose paint that can be used on glass. The brand is "Crown" and it's called "Just Enough". the color is called "apple red". It's a small 30ml bottle and cost me $2.50 from Zellers. I don't think they have Zellers in the states, only in Canada. It's like a Wal-mart.

Krylon makes a "stained glass" paint that you can use. one day Imay make mine more blue colored. I got my stock radio back in now so I am going to switch that to blue as well.

Stylin- don't u want to come to NC and change the lights on my car??? I mean since u "don't have a life". j/k  It's just that it looks soo cool, but i don't think i have 2 hours of patiences to do all that. I am very impatient, so there's not way i could do all that and plus i am car literate.

Well I'll let you know in a few days if I can. I was planning on trying tomorrow. I was going to buy some blue LED's and solder them in, but I have the sneaking suspicion that the lights in the HU has those green condomes on them as well. If thats the case Ill just paint them plue like I did with the stock bulbs.

    Sorry for the late reply.

So snuggles r u inviting me down to NC?

Actually changing the color on the bulbs took 2 hrs cause it took 1.5 hrs for the paint to dry. I dipped the bulb into the paint instead of brushing it on to get a thicker even coat. And 'cause of the thick coat it took such a long time to dry. It should also take no longer than 10-15 mins. taking out and putting back the bulbs.

Check out this link if you haven't seen it already for more info on changing the bulb color:

I saw the DIY and it looks scary!! Like it looks so confusing. The disconnecting and reconnecting. The stock lights don't look so bad. But another color would look cooler. . .

stylin-- i wish i could invite u down here, but i doubt my mom will let me do that. It's not like NC is fun anyways. Boring NC. Nothing but trees and houses.
