Door Panel Fabric

    Door Panel Fabric

    Any one know if its possible to change that black carpet fabric on the doors???? If so how...........

    yes it is. Just pop the door off and then stick the new fabric over it, then staple or glue it down to hold it in place.

    So I just take out the door using the front speaker DIY??? Okay so i just staple the new fabric probably vinyl over that shaggy black carpet material.....So how can i do it in a way that the staples wont show?????????

    when you pull off that panel you will find that the stock fabric is held on most likely with staples, or glue. or both actually. I have never looked back there to see. Also you wont need to pull the whole thing off, just pop the rubber arm rest off then pop up the window controlls then the felt part should pull straight forward. You can pull the felt off to make a cleaner look, but going right over top is slightly less time consuming. I was thinking of doing mine sometime as well, so mabey I will setup a DIY for it. but thats months down the road. I need money first.

    OKay ill try this out, but im not sure on what fabric to use yet, ur like the DIY king for this forum, just like vamp for vvti.net...LOL......ill try this out and let u know if i come into any more trouble thanks alot

    yah most ppl think Vamp is the DIY king. Most his stuff is old news though. And I thought most of what he has is common knowlege amungst most car buffs. But he does a good job with writting it up and its still time consuminmg. So he gets my credit.

    please do, i wanna do the same thing as well. and let me know if the whole door jam needs to be removed cuz i dont wanna do all that unless i change the speakers too.
