I actually tried to purchase vvti.net since the domain was going to expire 3 days ago. At the last minute it was renewed for another year..

it's strange how you feel threatened by someone you don't even know just because he spoke the truth, isn't it? like vortex already pointed out, the biggest shortcoming is the constant downtime and lack of end-user response. administratration isn't just about "being the top oh noes :rule: " thing. if your idea of administration work is surfing web sites, then i'm sorry you've got the idea all wrong.

you want examples of how your admin "team" isn't working? okay...hm, first page of vvti.net, noticed how the login never works? as in you don't know you're actually logged in until you click on the damn forum link? yeah very ingenious there. and what about that "coming soon" thing on the bottom of the page? that's been there since you had the page up. and let's not forget all the downtime and your admin team being unable to fix the problem. so much for "admin work". if what you're doing is considered such, i'd be earning six figures now.

and to answer your first question, the Doc already pointed that out for you. also, there's nothing wrong with trolling if the troll isn't posting nonsense.

well the point is this..... how can people keep visiting a site that keeps falling under SPECIALLY when people donate to keep the site "running" but it never runs the way it should? hell that would keep me away from there that's for sure.

I actually find this competition thing pretty childish. Lets start a petition to merge corollacustomz with this one then......or toyrolla.com with all of the others. Like you all said, its pointless to have multiple corolla sites, huh?

Login never works? Ive never had to log in to vvti.net.....sounds like you dont know how to use your computer settings.

Are we in high school? The "my club is better than your club" mentality makes it seem that way. And pointing out whenever vvti.net is down is damn childish too.

The login thing doesn't work with Firefox and Netscape, it does work with IE. (All of them work fine here)

And the point is that there are two forums with basically the same name, and everyone wants them to be merged. For whatever unknown reason, Dave (hoolala) will not give up vvti.net even though he is never around and obviously doesn't give a care about it. It's like he wants to care, and plans on it, but never actually does, or something like that...

Pointing out when vvti is down just backs up the argument that it's not reliable and should just be given up, there's nothing childish or not about it.

I find it counterproductive to build a line between the two boards.

I dont think merging the two boards is a bad idea, but I dont agree with the way youre going about it.

The end result we all want is the community to be brought back together. If you have a better idea about how to do it, then now is the time.

The way I see it is that vvt-i.net is much more stable, there are TWO admins who both are ACTIVE on the board, and the hardware that the server is on is more stable. So most of us feel that the board should be hosted here. A simple redirect from vvti.net will bring a swift and simple end to the division in the community.

indeed - the server its run on is actively maintained daily (i should know i'm the one that runs it) and the board is maintained regularly as well (i know because CB and I have conversations about different things concerning the operation of it often)

I could actually care less what name we end up having to type into the url box....as long as the boards are actually MERGED/MESHED together, which vortex says is possible.

And if this occured, I think the admins/mods should be meshed as well. At least have David have a say in what occurs overall, even though hes not around much anymore.
Id even compensate him for what he just paid to renew the domain name.

I also find it annoying that there are a tin of Corolla-forums to have to keep up with. I'd love it if there were maybe three websites/forums.

That doesn't make any sense, we should be on the mor stable server. And he's never around so why should he have a say? And another thing, in case you forgot, you were removed as a mod here because of your actions, so I find it hard to believe that you'll be made a mod again. We have a very good team already and those with "issues" have been rooted out.

And I'll pay him for it myself!

In case you forgot, you have no clue why I was removed as a mod from this board. And if youve been told, Im curious as to what youve been told.
I never said I wanted to be a mod on this board. Too many power trips here for me.

And I never said to merge it onto the other server. Ive switched over to backing you up, so take a chill pill doc.

    Aight

But you did say that you want the admins/mods to be meshed as well and that's why I said that.

And an announcement was made as to why you and turbo4ag were removed, so that's what I was going off of.

That announcement was by skyace, and we know what happened to him.
And I think david would be more willing if he could be part of the admin team. He started that board...he should at least be involved when hes around. Just my opinion.
Im all up for getting the ball rolling, and we'll see what David replies to me with.

    Indeed...

Honestly I think it's going to be up to Hoo and CB to figure out the actual logistics and possibilities of combining the boards. I have no problems assisting in the action of it, but its up to the members of the boards to push for it and get the two to agree if anything is going to happen.

Personally I have no issues with either board other than the fact that the current host of vvti.net sucks balls. At least on this server (currently running vvt-i.net) there is control over the actual system hosting the board and the primary admin for the hosting service happens to be a member. (yay for me, lol) It has already proven itself in stability and performance, so I'd assume it'll stay here no matter the outcome.

As I said, its ultimately up to David and Brandon.

He probably didn't renew it at the last second, his registrar probably has it set to automatically renew when its on the last day, I know mine does...
