front hood grill owners - look here

altis style front hood grills look more "open" than the stock front hood grill. (that is, it looks like more rain can get through altis style front hood grills than the stock front grill)...if so, i'm curious if anyone knows or thinks that this could cause any problems in any component under the hood.

just me being paranoid again - Yoda

no, cuz all it will do is get your horn and your radiator wet. the horn is pretty well sealed and it can harm the radiator.

He means "Can't" harm the radiator.

Its not an issue at all. Yo can drive in a rain strom with the hood open and wont do any damage. The electrical compnents that you need to worry about are all covered up good anyway.

what about the alternator. when i wash my engine, i cover up that, the fuse box, sensors and open wires with plastic bags.

Since our car has a coil pack on the end of each plug, and since those are under that plastic engine cover thats all that really matters. The alt will get wet and they are made to handle that. Most the wiring in there is covered with a small platic coating, it looks like thousands of bare wires, but they really are sealed up tight. And its also unlicky for water to get in the fuse box under there. Really you are going waaay onto the caution side when you cover all that stuff up. I am more worried when I wash my car that I diudnt close the sunroof tight or something. I have never worried about getting my engine wet.

its just called JDM by the Ebay sellers. It help them get some extra keywords in the description to generate more traffic to the listing. Now everyone has to call it "JDM" or else the ppl that dont know would think they were 2 different things. You would also be surprized how many ppl there are out there that buy it just coz they think it is "JDM"
