Wow, VIS hoods are strong... unfortunately, my windshield is smashed in...

Well, in a rush to finish testing out the eManage settings for my new 550cc injectors, I didn't notice that my friend didn't close my hood all the way (he must have been distracted when he closed it). We had had a hecktic day and I had just finished tossing stuff back into my car since I had to rip out all the interior panels to access the ECU because of a bad ground. Long story short, I was in the car the entire time, so I never noticed the hood wasn't all the way shut until I was making my final test run settings. The hood flipped open and smashed the windshield. The raised vent made two dents in the roof of the car. The hood otherwise was fine except for 4 cracks where it hit the car.

At least I have my injectors in and working as well as the intercooler mounted (still waiting on couplers from Samco). It looks bad ass.

Well, we'll see. Worst comes to worst, I'll just fix the windshield and continue on with my turbo and fix the rest once the car is boosted.

Oh man, I feel your pain. My wife had bought a car and didn't even get to drive it (her dad was driving it) and he forgot to latch hood all the way... TOTALLY smashed the hood and windshield!

Anyway I'm glad to see you're focused on the important stuff... MORE POWER! :D

Yeah, I'm trying to not let it keep me down. I'm debating on getting a new Invader hood or doing something else. I may even create an aluminum box around the air filter and do a resverse inset scoop with a baffle to keep the water out on the stock hood.

Yeah, I can't wait to get the couplers so I can start fitting the IC piping and can get the turbo manifold installed.

Damn. I guess the question should be what hasn't gone wrong with your car? I would have been deterred from modding at this point if I were you.

Wouldn't it be better to mount the FMIC with the turbo? Mounting it before would get a lot of dirt in it, am I right?

What really sucks is the dents on the roof. That is no easy/cheap thing to replace because it is so big and special. Oh well, just keep pullin'.
