    Custom Sub Boxes

Has anyone attempted to build custom sub boxes for the trunk, or seen any online yet? I am looking to build or buy two for the spaces between the rear wheelwell and the rear of the car in either side of the trunk. I don't want to take up the majority of the space of the trunk by putting a huge box up against the rear seat.

As soon as I receive my amp (currently on backorder) I will begin building my own. My subs require 1.25 cu. ft. each, I hope i can supply that with the space in the sides.

That would look tight, but I'm not willing to give up my spare tire to do that.

One problem of being an early buyer of a new model............NO CUSTOM PARTS! At least, it takes awhile before they are becoming available.

they are not that expensive any more. i work at office deopt and we have a few descent ones for like 150. i was just wondering cuz i was thinking the same thing. it saves a lot of trunk space for one and second looks much cleaner

Building the subs into the spare tire well isn't as hard as it looks. You can make it simple with just a square box inside the well or if you feel comfortable use fiberglass and wood. Just find the subs you want to do and get the airspace. From there cut the largest square piece of wood you can fit in the well as your base. start building the box from there. I would reccomend that you make your faceplate of the box the entire floor so the floor is even and doesn't have a lip.
