make sure u clean tha surface before putting on tha new pieces so u can get a stong bond from tha 3m tape between ur old piece and new piece 8)

i got the paint from an auto store in my area, I used Sem vinyl cleaner first and then used duplicolor Vinyl and fabric spray-smoke silver color. sprayed on a whole lotta coats and that was it. Didn't prime or seal, put it on it July and shows no signs of chipping or anything. And thanks for the comments i'm glad you like it.

i just basically pulled it apart gently. Had no idea what to do, so just wiggled on everything and looked for screws.

thanks for all the comments guys, SF: i couldn't tell you exactly how many coats but i would say around 10, I just kept sprayin and sprayin. Was a good way to spend a nice summer day.

Oh! and if any of you plan on doing this make sure you do a really good job of masking off the area that has all the temp controls. I didn't do good enough and got a lil bit of paint on the sticker. cost me $20 bucks to get a new sticker from toyota.

That 3M peel and stick can be a pain in the ass if the glue isn't heated up enough. Took me several times to get most of them to stay stuck to the panels, and even then it's kinda messed up cause my wife overheated the shifter colum piece a little too much and it warped a bit...guess thats what you get when the wife helps out on the car!

RollaS, how did you really take off your dash, i have done this in the pass to my old corolla, but i kept scratching the dash. How did you take them out without scratching the dash pieces, and those 2 compartment pieces, i cant figure out how to take them out. Thanks :p

the first few parts are easy

The first part you take of is the part around your Emegancy break then 2 the bolts in the bottom of the box between the 2 seats then you should see the rest

I bought a Brushed Aluminum dash kit for my 03 from www.exoticwooddash.com. It's not installed yet because I'm in Pakistan right now and my car's in Germany, but I'll post pics as soon as I get back.
