    Chrome Step Covers

I just bought some Chrome Step Covers off ebay. The problem is they came with no instuctions, they have a peel and stick 3m type tape, but its not very sticky, and not nearly enough sticky enough to hold. it also came whith a little vial of some sort of yellow fluid. does anyone know how this works??

    Re: Chrome Step Covers

My guess is that vial is adhesion promoter.. dilute that in some water and after you clean the door steps, wipe some of that stuff on there. That 3M tape may not feel very sticky.. but it certaily is.

    3m tape

My Experience with the 3M Tape is this... I tried sticking my Rear Window visor, and Rain Guards on with it.. It's works great... If you don't try to apply it below 32 Deg F. It won't stick if it's too cold outside.... Now I have to restick my visor...

I bought those when i had my civic and i was very happy with them untill about 3 months later when scratches started appearing and then they just looked ugly & tacky. Then i tried to remove them and it left behind the 3M foam tape stuff and i never did get rid of all that gunk. thankfully i no longer have the civic. and i wont make that mistake again. Just my own experience. :?
