    Hyper White Bulbs

Hey wassup, 2003 Rolla owners... I got a few things on mind for my rolla... first thing, I wanted to get some Hyper White Bulbs... for one, this dude is selling them for $30 at this shop... searching online, I found some for much cheaper... my first question is, does anyone know the specification of the bulbs?! are they 9006?!... another thing, does anyone know how to install bulbs, how, and is it easy?!... thanks

sup man, i got sylvania silverstars and I highly recommend them, they're really bright, burn a clean white color, they advertise that only HID is brighter than these bulbs. They're kinda pricey like $20 per bulb but its worth every penny...No exaggeration, my visibility has doubled w/ these bulbs!
go here to get more info on these bulbs: http://www.sylvania.com/auto/silverstar.htm

your lowbeams use 9006 and ur highbeams use 9005 and installation is pretty simple, you can actually find step by step instructions in your owner's manual(page 225 Replacing Lightbulbs) :D

 Haha ZerO- u are such a loser! u remember the exact page and title of the manual. You are WAY too into your car. . .

I put the PIAA Xtreme Whites in my S and I love them. I also put the fogs in, but I have noticed that the fogs are much more of a blue shade than the regular headlights (they are only 50k apart!). Any ideas on what might be causing this? :?:

One of the lights on my Prizm died today and I replaced them with Sylvania Silver Stars. They look great!! And they were only about $16 each! I'm gonna get some for my Corolla when the current ones burn out.

Are the blue lights legal for driving??? they aren't like the bright blue, it's just super brite with a hint of blue, right??? B/c i want to get the super bright lights. But i am deciding if i want the white ones or the blue ones. Decisions decisions. On average with that stupid DAYLIGHT running lights thing, how long does the bulb last???

The cool blue ones are potentially illegal.. I guess if a cop felt like it he could ticket you for them. The silverstars are pure white.. absolutely beautiful!! I strongly recommend those.

In which light socket do you put the silverstars?? Like the regular beam, turning beam or high beam socket?? The lights that are stocked are off white color lights, right??

I like the brite light with hint of blue, but don't feel like getting any more tickets. 1 more ticket and mom takes the car, so i am making sure everything is legal.

I've got the silverstars in my low beams and they are amazing. I've got Hipers for my brights. Quick question though, you know how on the lexus' the fog lights are really yellow. Anyone know what kind of bulbs i could put in my fogs to have that effect. I had hipers in my fogs before and they looked just like my stock ones and they both blew out in like a week.

...I picked up some Silverstars this weekend, the lights are very nice and very white w/o any hint of blue...I think the visibilty would be even better if my lenses were clean (lots of snow around here). The Sylvania Silverstar rebate is available noline at the Sylvania website. I'll pick up some Silverstars for my high beams next and Osram All Season (yellow) bulbs for the fog lights. Silverstars are not available in H3 for the fog light applications. The yellow foglights found on the IS300 and GS430 use normal white bulbs. The IS300 has a yellow lens and I think the GS430 a yellow reflector.

...choice for yellow H3 bulbs include

    -PIAA Ion Yellow
    -Hella Yellow Star
    -Catz Gold
    -Philips All Weather
    -Osram All Season

...oh yeah snuggles changing the low beams isn't difficult. Simply open your hood, turn the low beam bulbs in a counter clockwise direction and the bulbs will come out. Remove the bulbs and install the Silverstars, put the bulbs back in and enjoy.

The three bulbs are the turn signal bulb (on the far outside), the regular headlight lamp (in the middle), and the highbeam lamp (located closest to the grill).

Ok, i am straight now. Thank you. B/c the high beam and the low beam confuses me. B/c the turning signals is on too, so i thought that was the low beam, but then the one next to that couldn't be the high beam, b/c the one closest to the grill is the high beam. so that's how i got confused. But i am straight now. thanks!

    Re: blue lights

Does the light look REALLY blue or just a hint of blue??? Cuz some lights are straight up blue and some lights are brite white with a hint of blue.

...ummm aren't "blue" headlight bulbs illegal? Also, why would you want blue light as your visibilty will generally be decreased even though it appears brighter b/c the yellow light is being filtered out. SilverStars are white w/o any hint of blue, the PIAA Xtreme Whites and Catz Galaxy White have a slight blue tint to them, but blue blue is ehhhh.
