    My bumper as of now...`

    well, i started fiberglassing my front bumper...this is my first time fiberglassing so don't laugh, i think its coming out pretty good so far...i figured if i fuck up it can't look much worse than it did b4, heres a before pic and some as of now...

    its not done yet, lol, thats only 1 layer of glass...i just primered it for now because i wont be able to work on it till next weekend again

    im already gettin use to seeing a full bumper even though its not done yet, lol

    still an improvement, i laugh everytime i see your crack bumper :haha: sorry..lol
    and why not do the whole bumper? fiberglass a lip and mold it on there.

    lol. well, my plan is to fix this as best i can, and then order some kind of lip on ebay meant for another car, and mold it onto my bumper...no idea what lip i want, something cheap like a honda one or something

    i was gonna do that, remember? the closes lip to match the bumper is, something like a civic.

    thanks guys, its coming out pretty good, didn't really get to work on it today, gonna do some more on tuesday...all i really did today was sand it some, its not gonna be perfect when its done but will look better than it did before, with only glassing part of the bumper its gunna be raised up a little bit from the rest...but when i get a lip it wont be to noticable

    yeah, was it not possible to do the fiberglass on the inside of the bumper so that you could layer it and make it match stock?

    i didn't even think of that, i could do it on the inside prolly but then there would still be the parts where its actually cracked, how would i fix them, im not gonna put a shitload of bondo in there

    fiberglass body kit uses like 7 layers of fiberglass. you should do like 4 or 5 layers. prevents it from crackin so easily...

    you could just keep what you have now and put a layer or two on the inside. then sand down the outer layer and fill in imperfections with bondo. that way you keep bondo down to a minimum.

    i did some more work on it today, i'll take a pic tommorow and post it up...im prettymuch glassing the whole bottom, making the black part look like one with the whole bumper, the whole thing will be painted red...i was actually thinking about glassing the indent that goes across the top above the turnsignals, whatta ya all think

    i started moldin on the black piece on the bottom today before work...yea, i was ghetto today and drove to work with no bumper while the bumper was drying in my garage since it was raining today

    Doesn't look too bad considering how it was before.
    Just a little bit (ok, a hell of a lot) of sanding and some filler and it'll be pretty good.

    where do you plan on getting a lip from though? I dont know of anyone that has started doing any (Dr Tweak was saying something about it, supershyguy was going to do something in the spring, but never heard anything on that ... )

    what front lip are you getting though, and how much modification is required?
