    I should already know this, but I don't. :eek:

    What is meant by the terms AE101, AE111, etc. ?

    First letter = engine series (straight forward)
    Second letter = car series (E for corollas, different for other models)
    Numbers = numbers :p

    i think....the AE101 and AE111 are "8th gen equivalents" in japan....but dont quote me on that. i just assume that because we have alot of interchangable parts. also the numbers are the series or generation of car. which is why Ares is an AE82....because its old ;)

    So AE111 and ZZE110 are basicly the same thing; one is JDM and one is the US version.

    kinda...thats why they have alot of interchangeable parts like the rear discs..the exhaust...ect

    Only the chassis is the same. The AE111 is a slightly upgraded model since it's 1 higher than 110. It also uses a 4AG motor instead of the 1ZZFE.

    Not all AE111 have an 4AG motor. The number are just generation numbers, it doesn't really mean an "upgraded" model.
