Cruise control on a manual swap

I saw Tweaks post about hooking a wire up to to the reverse wire, but I'm wondering if I'll have an issue with not having a clutch switch on my car (I can start the car without pushing in the clutch).

My car has cruse, and I took out my safty switch, and it still shuts it down when you put your foot on the clutch, my figuring is that it sees the revs go up not from the gas pedal and shuts it down....

Tweeks did a AT > MT conversion once for a customer and he had to go back because the cruise control did not work afterwards. The customer said Tweeks fixed it right away but didn't say what Tweek's did specifically. My guess is he hooked up the clutch switch:superconf

ya my stick car has cruise control so it has to work off something

pressing the gas pedal does not cancel out cruise control, depressing the brake or clutch pedal does though, so im guessing the cruise needs signal inputs from both of those pedals

That customer is me. I had the aftermarket Toyota OEM cruise control(actuators on the gas pedal no cruise throttle cable box under the hood) put on my auto Corolla. The cruise control would not engage because the auto cruise control module needs a power source from the transmission to engage only when the transmission is on D.

According to the dealership only AT cars have them now... At least for the corolla that is...

Yes, I am alive and the car runs, but the turbo is not installed at the moment (at least not until our economy and fuel prices stabilize). So now I just gotta figure out this blue wire from the transmission and reverse signal wire so I can get it working again.
