    09 Corolla TRD Springs question

    happy thanksgiving to all...

I recently got the new 09 TRD lowering springs in the mail, .5 front & 1.5 rear. to offset the wheel well gap from my new 18s

According to toyotapartsexpress.com I can put them in with no need for a camber kit, and they will work with my stock suspension. They did say that I should get an alignment. I am a casual driver, and an not tuning to race my car. Does it really matter if I get a midas alignment or a pricey dealership "TRD Specs" one?

Please any advice or thoughts ?

A dealership "TRD Specs" alignment? I want one of those :D.

As far as alignment goes, any place that is halfway competent will be able to handle this no problem. With such a mild drop - no real need for a camber kit - chances are the alignment will not get pushed off too much either.

When I did my 2002 with TRD springs - the alignment was spot on, didn't change at all.

Sorry about the hijack, but do they have a TRD supercharger for the 09 Rolla?

The XRS Corolla can use the TRD supercharger from the Scion tC since they both share the 2AZ-FE powerplant.

lol....yeah there isnt enough room...and the engine is backwards in the corolla...scion tc's have the headers up front..the rolla has the intake manifold up front.

edit: oh wait you dont have an xrs...doh

there...even still...you can see there isnt enough room at the back of the engine bay on the xrs....its a very tight squeeze in there. note the strut bars. the xrs has to curve more outward then the tc to fit.
