    probably a noob question

    i was wondering how much gain in hp would a corolla have if i changed the underpipings connecting to the exhaust to a diameter of 2.5inches?

    in a 99 corolla? youll probably lose power with a 2.5in exhaust.

    you dont lose power with a 2.5' exhaust. anything bigger then that and you would. i can dig up my graphs again -_- they are on TN if you really care to look. to answer your question.

    I lost power on my 1ZZ with a 2.5 cat -back, gained it back and then a little more with 2.25

    Not to hijack, but its relative.

    I have a magnaflow muffler that I want to put in and get 2.25" piping, but I want to know whether to keep the resonator or not. And if I should keep the cat or not. I live in FL and there's no emmissions testing, but if a cop pulls me over and decides to look I could get screwed.
