    Fiberglass in trunk

Well I've had my sub and amp sitting here for a couple months now and should finish it off.
Got all the wiring done yesterday, the amp support is pretty much done (just have to carpet it), actually it was done over a month ago, I've been busy.
So anyways what I am going to do for the sub is fiberglass the back of the enclosure and just do MDF on the front (so that I have done to do a million weird cuts/pieces on the back). It's going on the right side of the trunk, just in front of the brake lights (93-97).

I'm planning on laying down some garbage bags where the fiberglassing is going to be done, and a bunch of poly around and on everything else.
Basically what I have come up with for a release agent is either turtle wax or potroleum jelly (vaseline). Any comments on these two (work or wont work).

Any tips on how to lay it down for the top parts? (there will be one area that will have to be done basically upside down. I am thinkingin to just to put on a coat of resin, let it dry a bit, then resin a piece of glass and stick it on there, hopefully the first layer will have dried enough to make it stick.

dont use garbage bags use tin foil and masking tape and fit it around where you are going to be working... like a mold. and then the fiber glass shouldent stick too it and if you are woried use some dental wax... the type used to lubercate braces so they dont rip up the gums. thats what I am planning on useing...

hmm, never though of foil. maybe i'll put down some plastic then foil over top of that, just to be safe in case it tears.
What about the application method for working on the up-side down parts.
Or in general, how would you go about it (resin, wet glass, resin, dry, repeat)

you should do a DIY so we don't have to look for it and can just check the DIY pages... then I'll do mine for egnine covers and mold making.

I'll take some pics while I am doing it, not a problem.
Might be a bit before I put together a DIY though.

Just hope my camera is somewhere around...

I know how that goes... mine was on my desk this morning and now I can't find it... I could always use my SLR and take B&W pics but who wants that... then I have to devlope them and then I smell like the lab for days and then I have to scan them in... not so hard but I don't have a scanner.

Yea. I normally have at least 2 digitals in the house at any one time, but I think my sis took one to the lake (moved out there for the summer) and someone else may have grabbed another to take with them for the weekend. So I hope there's still one somewhere.
Yea I could always one of the good old fashioned ones here, but then I would have to go pay for developing (sister normally does it) and waiting, and scanning.
    Good 'ol technology :)
