It'd be interesting to see how they work on a race track.

You know, some of the biggest accomplishments in new technology have been made by thinking outside of the box.

Burt Rutan (sp?) is a prime example. How much was it, $10 million dollars to get a man in space, all without the help of big time NASA?

they could always put a decorative thing of rubber on the outside to look like a sidewall... a tire without air would rock, no more flats, blowouts, etc... althought im sure there are other problems that could arise with this technology, personally I find it cool though...

no like a motorcycle... something with only 2 wheels... it might be a hell of alot safer than air tires

looks weird... i think the greatest accomplishment on tire technology is the run flats... interesting concept though... and yup, i does need a sidewall...

Thats actually been out for at least 5 years. It's not a hoax. They will have a sidewall of course you don't want the spaces to fill up with debris. They just show it without one so you can see how it works..

Why do so many of you hate change so much (you're like the seniors at the senior center I work at). I like the idea of these tires. I'm guessing they'll be a tad bit on the expensive side when they come out for passenger cars, but I'll still want them. Like they say, if it can provide comfort AND performance then I'm all in.

Wonder how long they will hold up to wear on the tire? and what if you want to have it kinda flat (under inflated) for like off roading?

seems like none of u guys have seen the video of these tires. I read about these in another forum a couple of months ago...I honestly don't like the idea. it'll destroy the aftermarket wheel market since it looks like you can't change out the wheels...plus knowing me..if I were to get a set..they'd be destroyed by my own two hands...just looking at them makes me want to kill them...

if it really comes out without sidewall:
    1) *Little animals like it.
    2) It's gonna very sux on dirt. It will really eat dirt. Not good for off road.
    3) What about rain? I guess rain isn't a really big deal compare to (4), it will just looks funny.
    4) But what about snow? You park your car on drive way and go to vacation over the weekend. It snow one day, maybe it's just 1-2 inches, and then the sun comes out and melt some snow. Then it snow again at night and the melted snow (water) frozen again.
