Not with just the sway bar, but you want to get a poly urethane bushing kit for it, as the stock will most likely have rubber.

Just swapping the bushings on the stock bar will make it feel sexy(and you can probably use the $10 kit form auto zone, but check your connections to make sure you get the right stuff). With the new bar it will probably track like it's on rails. Gratz! =)

do you mean the end links? i bought new end links but the only thing my swaybar came with was the polyurethane bushings. i should really slap that bad boy in there.

It should fit with the stock hardware. That's why they gave you the thicker bushings with smaller holes. But seriously, if you are upgrading part of the bar components to poly urethane, you should put the end link bushings in as well while it's apart.

Yeah, it came with the poly bushings I was wondering about the bracket because I saw photos from another member with the swaybar and his came with brackets. I am sure that the brackets are for the front swaybar since he ordered both front and rear. I should have it installed this weekend if all goes well. I have to jettison 1/2 tank of gasoline somehow so it be easier to drop the tank.

Ewww, gas tanks are messy. You can't squeeze in without dropping it? I spent a whole day with the gass tank on a ranger, only to find out the thing has a fuel cut off switch you have to switch back off after it's been in an accident. At least I was right that the engine wasn't getting fuel..... =/

But that seems like a lot of effort to put the sway bar on. =(
    (I'm glad I work on trucks. =)

Not from what I read... I don't need to drop it completely, just enough to slide the bar across. I don't plan on disconnecting fuel lines etc.

Man, it's going to take forever to get this tank near E. I guess the drawback of having the new 1zzfe dropped in is the increased MPG. LOL. I'm getting 37-38 MPG in 40% city/60% highway compared to 32-33 MPG with my old 98 1zzfe compared to 27-28 MPG with the 98 1zzfe + 3speed auto. I believe I can get 45+ MPG on 100% highway.

you dont need to drop it, just support it and unbolt the straps so you can slide the sway bar out the passenger side.

Ya, you shouldn't need to empty it then, just have a good jack and a buddy that can help keep it balanced. Or just find something flat that's the right height to suppor it. While 6 gallons is a bit heavy, it's really not that heavy(I'm assuming close to 12g tank). You could use a floor jack for the car, and your spare jack to hold the tank. I don't know what type of tools you have tho. I dropped that ranger tank and hooked up the fuel pump to a battery charger to syphon the gas out enough so I could get it back up into the thing(it was full.... >.< ). However, this method isn't recomended!!!! Don't do it unless you know exactly what you are doing.

just use a jack and a spare tire.

I forgot to mention, you would only be able to slide it out of the passenger side if the passenger side strut is removed. Otherwise you need to undo the hose clamp for the fuel filler hose and yank the hose out.. Sometime the hoses gets stuck (like how old radiator hose get stuck on the radiator/block necks) and its a big PITA.

It's a 20min job if you know what you're doing and nothing is seized.

haha my liquid stuff was black

It took this noob 3 hrs doing everything you mentioned. I ain't as skilled as you. The most frustrating thing about it was that you can see where the swaybar is about that it is loose after undoing the endlinks and bracket, but it is the part where you have to loosen stuff to wiggle it out........blah. I'm just glad it's all over.

Feels like normal when hitting potholes and junk. I wouldn't know I have bigger rear swaybars until I make high speed turns especially interstate exits. A lot more stable and less body roll.

This will be my next mod hopefully if I can find enough money. I want a front one as well so I may go hotchkins but I'd love solid bars instead. If only they made front ones that fit the USDM cars :(

The straight bar across is only a tie bar and hardly does anything. I can make aftermarket ones for those who want one actually. I can make rear sway bar endlinks too. :)
