    noise comin from wheels

so since a few days ago, theres this wierd noise comin from my wheels, as if its scraping something. it just started comin out of the blue. Now i got a lil concerned, ghost whipped my ride lol basically walked with the car outside and mind u this was in a open area with no one around me for miles, and i heard nothing outside. i have no clue why its making the noise, any suggestions? bascicallly every revolution it makes its making that scraping noise and it gets faster as i speed up but kinda dies out after a certain speed

check your axle, last night i got my fog lights power wire tangled up in the axle and it made a similar sound, open your hood and check.

He doesn't have fog lights. I doubt it's anything dragging. When you turn the wheels left or right, does the sound start or get louder? If it does, then it's a wheel bearing for sure. Most likely your hub will be ruined too.

Could be a wheel bearing, or just brakes. Check the brakes 1st because they're cheaper.

Also rollatuner, I have a friend that wants me to change the wheel bearing(and maybe the hub) in his daughter's 98. Didn't you have them changed? Are the bearings hydraulically pressed in or can they be changed manually.

could be a bad bearing (most likely) or a bad tire or something in the brakes is shot

Could be that your drums need servicing.

ok so now i can hear it OUTSIDE. Like i was in the parking structure and just in first gear letting the car roll and now it is confirmed, its actually from the drivers side rear wheel. ill get it check out cause the noise is starting to increase day by day. Tire is fine even tho theres a very small lil bubble in the sidewall but i know thats not causing it because its been there forever. Drums are brand new since i bought them brand new and got them powder coated like less than a year ago. I was thinking my next oil change ill be going to winter mode with stock wheels but i guess it'll be happening sooner than expected =(

It must be your wheel bearing then.

I didnt mean it was his fog light wiring, i just meant anything could have gotten tangled in there.

A rear bearing isn't that hard to do yourself, plus they're cheap

I had a weird clunk noise in the rear every time i was going slow either to slow down or from starting point. Sounding like metal clunking. Took the rim off and tightend things down. Doesnt happen now. I think it was the brake clanking, came loose or something. Also a noise while turning could be the cv axles. I had to replace both of them in my paseo. Those go out because of the seal or from turning hard a lot! hehe!
