Hows everyone in the south holding up?

Especially TX. I just read on CNN that in the southern states, price on gas is increasing dramatically. One guy even said in WV its already at 6.00 a gallon in one part. Others in TX are paying more than $5.00 a gallon and so on. BUT they said some gas stations have stayed at the same price or even went lower.

Louisiana is still recovering from Gustav, but we're all good here (at least, I can say that for all of my family). I feel for those about to get pounded by Ike, but I'm still pissed that NOBODY in the media gave Louisiana so much as a peep of attention. We got slammed by a very strong category three, and freaking Hanna (the tropical storm Hanna) got days of attention because the eastern seaboard got a few inches of rain. Try getting 8-10 in your area and having massive oak trees totally uprooted, then talk to me.

Best wishes to those in TX. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

in Memphis...it's gone up 40 cents a gallon since noon. It'll come back down though..they're just taking advantage of evacuees and where this thing is headed.

Oil is under 100/barrel for the first time in forever...it's just gouging right now.

Fine here in Sugarland TX, 30mins SW of Houston. We lost power around 12am Friday night til saturday around 9pm... I work in HEB, a grocery store, and its been packed since we re-opened Saturday at 5. Sad part about is that the ISD's around here are closed and so is a chunk of Fort Bend County but our school is open Monday... :(
