boat would be nice but its a heck of a lot more expensive to maintain.. i like the bike cuz its easier to keep in the garage and stuff too. plus better gas mileage. lol.

if i could splurge, i would invest in another house and rent it out or something..

Any bike but the Hayabusa. Like Eric said, it's played out. On top of that I think it looks atrocious. Boat's are nice, but think about how much you'll spend not only maintaining it, but picking the other stuff up like food and drink and fishing gear to enjoy the boat the most.

My vote, Bike. Not a Hayabusa though.

boat would be a bitch to maintain especially if its a salt water boat, and you have to dock it and pay for that too... get a busa and have some fun with going 100 and still getting 60mpg haha

It all depends in your situation... If you are thinking of buying a boat, then I would assume you know how much everything else after that purchase would cost. That said, I would also assume that you wont be using the bike to save gas on your trip to work or wherever. I would go with the boat if you come across a great deal because not only you would benefit from it, your family would too. Also, since you seem to be a "hands on" kinda person, you would probably do most, if not all of the maintenance work in the boat too. That said the only other expenses you are looking at are storage and parts.

In my case, even if I win the lottery for 10 million or so, I would probably not get a boat til I'm ready to retire.

Boat would be nice, but you have to pay a ton for fuel, maintenance, permits if you want to fish, and unless you plan on towing the boat storage fees.

Bike is cheaper and easier to keep, but anything a Busa there are a lot nicer bikes out there.

So my vote goes the bike.

I know folks who race both the hayabusa and gsxr-1000. If you want a good "cruiser" with torque and the ability to run low 9 second quarter mile time(power commander is your buddy) and still get 50+mpg, get the hayabusa. If you want something a little more froggy, less torque, jumpy, get the gsxr-1000. Also note that the hayabusa is a little easier on bigger/taller people than the gsxr series is. It's a more comfortable ride.

Hayabusa is the most stretched out bike there is. If you consider standing on your hands comfortable at 6'4", then by all means, get a busa.

Also, my 600 Yamaha got 55mpg staying off the throttle. 45ish if I was gas happy that week.
