    hid ballast mounting...

I got my Hid kit today and I will probably install them tomorrow but I was wondering, where did you guys mount the ballast? I took a quick look at my engine bay tonight and I don't see much room? Any ideas?

    thanks in advance,

i stuck mine on part of the body that is directly under the headlights on both sides. Granted I have the slim ballasts.

For the driver's side, since I have a CAI, I mounted one on the tranny engine mount where the stock air box used to be. For the passenger's side, I removed the windshield washer reservoir and mounted it on the side wall.

thanks for the help. I did mount them directly under the headlights. Its a clean install you can't even see the balast. Thanks for the info guys... But damm since I don't actually have projectors the light pattern is all weird. I guess thats why its good to have projectors retro fitted. But i'm not sure if its because of the painted headlihts that I have or maybe my lights arepointed a little downwards I'm not blinding people infront of me. Other than the weird beam pattern I am happy with them. They really light upthe road. i have the 6k and its looks pretty blue. I'm happy though. Maybe its time for the guy on ebay who makes the blackout headlamps and corners to start making retrofitted projectors. I was looking at the philips hid kits and damm other than the labeling...it looks like my cheap ebay one. Ahhh thanks for the help guys.
