Should they or should they not?

I'm sure alot of you follow politics or at least watch the news. On Monday they announced that McCain's VP canidate, Sarah Palin, has a 17yr old unwed pregnant daughter.

With that being said, alot of people feel that family should be left out of the whole political thing and others say they demand to know every little thing that happens because it can influence their vote.

So do you feel they should or should not involve family matters when it comes to politics?

i mean its not right to just drag out the family business in the media and shit like that but when you are in a position that she is in, you gotta expect it. i can see how it might affect some peoples votes tho. personally i dont care one way or another

and those people are scumbags and liars. they are the product of the tabloid media and feel like they not only NEED to know everything about everyone, but that it is their right.

these types of people are fickle and non sensical and typically have no pre conceived opinion on who they will vote for, they are just in it because they have the urge to delve into everyone elses private lives.

Nah, leave the family out of it.

Michelles comment: "Michelle Obama, wife of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, is taking heat for saying Monday at a Milwaukee rally that "for the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country — and not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change"

I dont see what the big deal is....she was obviously referring to the political world.

And I would like to know how Obama dissed the USA as well.

Surely you cant be referring to this quote from Obama : "“America is …, uh, is no longer, uh … what it could be, what it once was. And I say to myself, I don’t want that future for my children.”

Is what he said not true? Seriously.

please pay attention to the massive amounts of political coverage available to you on every single news outlet.

i am referring to hussein saying that americans are bitter, clinging to their guns and religion out of antipathy for people who arent like they are.

way for him to put his foot in his mouth and alienate himself as an elitest and a racist.

not to mention that quote YOU posted further cements his inability to articulate himself, what a cookie cutter statement. the poor guy is nothing without a teleprompter.

I just think its funny how his family was brought in, how his patriotism was questioned, mccain's whine about his celebrity status along with the rest of his negative campaign, etc.

    ROFL. Racist?

So I take it you are a McCain supporter and you want more of the same for the next 4 years? Are you a Palin supporter too? Did you watch her speech last night?

Nothing without a teleprompter huh? Well, we'll see how Palin does when shes debating...where she doenst have her speech written out for her days in advance. Shes a joke, plain and simple. The queen of one liners.

Right, and Palin isnt falling into that celebrity status situation at all:D:D:D
Thats all she is...celebrity.....she and her family. Its hypocritical....McCains entire campaign is hypocritical. Stressing Obamas lack of experience, yet he picks Palin. lol. Pointing out that Palin has fought against corruption, where at the same time shes being investigated for that same thing. Shes stressing how she was against the "Bridge to NoWhere"...well.....when you were campaigning you were for the Bridge to Somewhere. I wouldnt want Palin as our president, nor do I want McCain.

8 years ago...maybe. MAYBE. But not in 2009.

Used to be, family drama was a nonpoint. Back in the days of common decency and discretion, the family was left alone. Now though, the media will dig up whatever-whenever to make the headline and get one more mouseclick counted on a website. They also know that once things are repeated enough, they are taken as proven gospel truth by the sheeple at-large.

I think they both suck anyway...and my status as a single, upper middle class American will be exploited for either candidates' own private agenda. I'm not rich enough to be a republican, and not poor enough to be a democrat.

youre clearly swinging from obamas you know whats... and thats cool with me. i just didnt think a guy like you would be down for turning the US into a complete socialist society. you make a lot of money, have fun paying for everyone else if obama gets elected. and say goodbye to your guns, i know how much you enjoy them.

im non partisan, but i am going to vote for the more experienced ticket. that ticket is obvious this election. there is no possible way for things to keep going how they are, falling for that propaganda from the dems is just sad.

ya know, every time during elections, the other party always claims the world will turn into something absolute. in your case, if Obama is president, then the US will turn into a complete socialist society.

When a democrat was president, did we turn into a complete socialist society then? I could say the same in defense for the republicans and its just silly politician talk to claim absolutes like you do.

i just submitted my absentee ballot application to the nyc board of directors.

Im not a fan of Obama either. But the lesser of two evils.
No possible way for things to keep going how they are? You really cant believe that.

    In regards to guns-
Ok for states & cities to determine local gun laws. (Apr 2008)
FactCheck: Yes, Obama endorsed Illinois handgun ban. (Apr 2008)
Respect 2nd Amendment, but local gun bans ok. (Feb 2008)
Provide some common-sense enforcement on gun licensing. (Jan 2008)
2000: cosponsored bill to limit purchases to 1 gun per month. (Oct 2007)
Concealed carry OK for retired police officers. (Aug 2007)
Stop unscrupulous gun dealers dumping guns in cities. (Jul 2007)
Keep guns out of inner cities--but also problem of morality. (Oct 2006)
Bush erred in failing to renew assault weapons ban. (Oct 2004)
Ban semi-automatics, and more possession restrictions. (Jul 1998)
Voted NO on prohibiting lawsuits against gun manufacturers. (Jul 2005)

I see no problem with that...and I have a lot of guns

his running as a dem is just a high profile way to get elected. he clearly has a socialist agenda.

im just flabbergasted by that statement. ill have to just walk away from this one. if i have learned anything in my life it is not to argue religion or politics.

And the lesser of two evils is based on which issues one puts the most weight into. You could list off a laundry list of things you dislike about Obama and Biden, and I could do the same about McCain and Palin.
Im flabbergasted by you thinking that McCain is the lesser or two evils. The rights are going to say Obama wants a leftist, socialist (lol)country, and the lefts will cut down the rights. Its a never ending battle.

Oh noez! Obamas dad wrote a paper on Socialism when Obama was 4 years old! And OH NOEZ! One of his staff members had a Guevara flag on her wall! My gosh! He wants more distribution of the wealth! And more government regulation on the economy! Please.....keep grasping
