HID in 2006 Solara issue... HELP!!!

i am plannin on puttin in some HIDs in my 2006 Solara. will the HID be too hot for the projector lens? will anything melt or be bad if i installed it? i wanted to make sure with some other people if they have had any problems with it. i dont wanna damage anything haha. plus my friend with an xB put aftermarket projector lens head lights in his car and just ran a normal nokya bulb. not even an HID and it melted. :superconf

You should be fine considering that HID bulbs are 35w and puts out almost 3x as much light as a regular halogen bulb that runs 55w. The Nokya bulbs which I used to have were 100w and those melted my ebay projector bulb harnesses.

The only possible problem I can think of is that you'll run into is glare from the extra amt of light that is coming from the headlight. Just aim them correctly even possibly a little bit lower than usual and I believe you should be fine. Good luck.
