    Yeah, I just flipped through the Consumer Reports gathered through the ages. The 98-00 Corollas they tested had the black on white gauges. Apparently, they didn't like them because they looked "washed out" at sunset. All the 01-02 Corollas I've seen have the white on black faces. imho, if you put your lights on at sunset like you're supposed to, the gauges will be lit up and you can actually see them. Silly CR folks...

    It is possible with that cluster to switch your mileage over. Pretty easy. Or If your not comfortable doing it you can send it to a company to do it for you. I think it only costs 45-100 dollars just bring in proof of mileage.

    There's no need to bring it anywhere really. You just swap the readout LCD and your mileage swaps over. It's really easy.
