    2009 Corolla S brake questions..

When I first got my 2009 corolla s I was surprised by the front disc and rear drum...

but i came up with 2 things one there is a bit too much play in the pedal to stop can that be changed?

    and 2
would it be possible to put rear wheel discs on and how costly would that be? also what are my options to do change it if any?

    thanks
    vinny

on the tenth gens I'm not sure how you would go about changing the drums, but on the 9th gens all you have to do is switch the knuckles and brake hardware out for those from the XRS corolla, and all the e-brake stuff from inside the drums forward to the split about midway up the car.... as for the play in the pedal I wouldn't know that part...

4 wheel discs on rolla is overrated.
Just get some light rims and some good tires to increase the stopping power. :D

For your 09 S, all you have to do is get the parts from a 09 XRS or 09 Matrix XRS. I think the Matrix S also have 4 disc rear too since it also has the 2.4 liter engine. not sure

it's not interchangable. the 2009 models have different bolt patterns. 2.4's have 5x114 while 1.8's have 5x100.

It's going to take a lot more work
