    2009 Corolla S performance options...?

Well this may be completely stupid, but here goes nothing.

    I recently got a 2009 Corolla S 1.8 L

I am looking into some performance options and whether or not I can do anything to the car to make it go that extra mile...more power.. etc
Any help would be greatly appreciated if these parts are worth the money and will do anything.

    I was looking into intakes
Toyota 2009 COROLLA 1.8L - Secret Weapon Cold Air Intake

    a different Exhaust
    (not sure what kind)

    A chip
(not sure if they do anything)

    Filters
    switch the stock paper airfilter to K & N airfilter # 33-2360

I know TRD usually puts out some type of performance upgrades but nothing yet and I would like to know if anyone has any experience upgrading their 09 corolla 1.8 L and have found parts they seem efficient and adding to the over all power of the car.

Any help would be greatly appreciated since I would like to completely make this car more amazing. I know a little about cars or I should say enough to get by, but just need some guidance.

    thanks
    Vinny

it is going to take a few months or even a couple of years for aftermarket companies to R&D parts for a new gen of car like yours, I doubt even TRD will have anything out in the near future considering they are still going through the restructuring after the basically went out of busness, and corollas are more family oriented any ways, they are spending alot of time in scion and trucks right now... sorry to burst the bubble on 2 threads.. :)

1 & 4) If you're going to get an intake, then there is really no point to "switch the stock paper airfilter to K & N airfilter"

    2) just pick any muffler that you like and go custom piping

    3) Chip doesn't do anything, don't need to consider it

And just like the others said, don't mess the engine yet until you got some mileage on it. =)

I don't know about corollas but my uncle chipped his old 3 series and gave him some noticeable results coupled with i/h/e. If they have one for your car, I dont know. I also agree with the above suggestions regarding keeping your car stock for a couple of months or so...

If you drive in the freeway more than you do the city, my teacher tells me that he got better MPG on the freeway after he got a tune, intake and catback on his G35.
