    Initial D Extreme Stage

So I recently played the game Initial D Extreme Stage which is the new game for PS3.

    http://www.initiald-ps3.com/

I thought I'd do a bit of a review on it since I kinda liked it. I would give it 7 out of 10 overall.

First of all, the graphics are now pretty much identical to Ver4 of the arcade game. So the graphics have gotten much better than the older game for PS2. You can now compete with another player if you have the right set up. The game play is also much more fun than before in the sense that it does require bit more skill in order to beat the game. You can also create own profile much like you create a card when you play the arcade version. Also upgrading your car has become more interesting. The parts you buy and install are actual parts available in the market. Now whether you will get more performance depending on one or the other part upgrade I have not been able to confirm. Anyway, some aspects of the game has become more like GranTurismo so I like it a lot.

Some of the downside of this game is that in order to play with two players, you must network/online which means having two ps3, two games, and 2 controllers/wheels. Also half way through the game you will realize that playing with the regular controller becomes quite hard. In order to beat the game, you really want/need the wheel accessory. You can not fully customize your character profile until you begin to unlock certain features after beating races and then you can start to customize the look of your character much more. The soundtrack selection is smaller than expected.

I've only played the game for a few hours and got through about half the game so I can't really say much more but I do like this game mainly because if you ever want the arcade experience in you home, this is the game to get.

If you live near me, I have two friends already who have it so let me know when and we can go to their houses and play the game. :)

just buy the Japanese version. its not hard to play. the hardest part is to figure out how to put in your car's plate number and stuff.. when creating your profile.
