id go if i could, dressed as something of course

i'm not THAT nerdy...can't do the cosplay thing.

I won't be going to Comic Con, but I'm going to Anime Expo in July.

Comic Con is next month...July 23rd-27th.

i was planning on going to comic con but my friend i was going to go with has a prego belly and cant wear her costume anymore.

i have never been before... but i inherited a box full of old ass comics and would like to go and check the whole thing out.

don't call them old ass comics.. I bet they are worth some money, there is one thing about comics, is that they are a great investment... first appearance of spiderman cost 10 cents new worth at least 3 grand in ok condition... but as for the topic on hand, I wish I could afford to go, but I'll be with MOVIEStar at nan desu kan in the fall.. its always kinda my birthday present to my self..

the sooner you get tickets to any of the days, the better off you'll be. i know the Saturday one-day tickets are sold out, and the full con passes have been sold out for months now.

want me to pick up anything for you while i'm there?

Yes I looked yesterday and I believe the tickets were like 25$ or something like that. So i will get them on friday.

So you are coming all the way from md to the show? that is a long ass way to see some comics.

I call them old ass comics cause I dont have the slightest clue about them. I have never really got into comics so I dont know a thing about them All i know is i have some old comics that cost 25 cents when bought.

I really want to go to this comic con just to see what the buzz is and watch everyone else there i heard that there are some crazies out there...lol I hope im not offending anyone here if they are one of the crazies...lol sorry

lol, it's THE LARGEST comic-centric convention in the world...and if you're not into comics or anything in visual entertainment (movies, tv shows, etc) then you won't get it.

example: some members of the cast of Heroes will be in attendance. in previous years, they've had cast members from both Stargate series, Battlestar Galactica, etc. last year they had two special events specifically for participants at the con...one was a press conference with the cast from the most recent Indiana Jones flick, and the other centered around the Batman movie to be released the week of the con this year. i would imagine Stan Lee and others from Marvel Media will be there since they're going nuts with the new Marvel movies (Iron Man, Hulk, upcoming Wolverine movie AND The Avengers).

thats cool. I am looking forward to the new batman movie. It is going to be good. I probably wont get it. But I will go and have fun. Do they serve beer there? lol

What is the best day to go? I see that sat is already sold out but out of the remaining days what is the best day to go? I just found out i get to get in at a military discount price so no i am really going.

i can't answer either question since i've never been there before.

saturdays are always the best days to go because its the only "full" day. fridays start around noon. sundays end around 3. saturdays start at like7 and go till sunday morning basically.

...that's a damned good question.

that would explain why saturday sold out first.



to add to my already apparent nerdiness, those of us going together are all excited because developers from City of Heroes are not only going to be there, but are holding some sort of special event that Saturday evening. lol we're bringing our laptops.[/nerd]

LOL....last time i went to a convention i brought my laptop and rolled some little kids at counterstrike source for a tournament. and they were giving out free copies of some game that was a city of heroes rip off.

it is kinda nerdy...lol Well i dont think i need a whole day. I think Friday will be my day. And since i will already be down town. I might as well hit up the gas lamp and get some nice new ladies..

I'm off to the Anime Expo.. I hope I don't get too scared there..
