I'm very patient. It would make sense that it's cheaper through him since it's directly through Ultra Racing and not through a distributor.

Whiteline discontinued the rear sway bars for 7th and 8th gen. Corolla. Only the nonadjustable 18MM rear is available. I'm getting that one in soon........

    :lame

has anyone heard of Advance Coilover from Japan? They have a coilover suspension for 7th gen corolla. you may add to the list.

i heard from a local dealer, it's 8 way adjustable with monotube design, 1 way height preload adjustment, spring rates 3kg/mm front and 2.5kg/mm rear. pillowball uppermounts included. price is Yen 158,000 (USD 1,595) from www.advance-auto.jp but found cheaper HKD 6,900 (USD889) from www.supergt.com.hk - shipment not included.

it's pretty good though for street use. bad thing is that we can't choose higher spring rates. also found dtm coilover, it's basic coilover from japanese company called moonface. 1 way height & preload adjusment, spring rates 4 kgmm front and 3.5 kgmm rear.

i also offered tein super street 5kgmm front and 3 kgmm rear, but the rear doesn't have a brake line retainer for drum brake. i wonder if cusco zero has it? can bro jspex confirm this? thx.

cusco has a welded on brake line retainer for drum brakes.. yes.

I wish we could make it so that anyone could edit the first post as long as the edits are logged.. kinda like a wiki setup. I've been too busy to update this thread.

:D Good news. Okay, thanks bro. I am going to order cusco zero then. Found a local dealer here :)

Meanwhile I'm not quite happy with current setups; eibach pro kit europe with bilstein sport strut inserts.

its a quality setup. best money I've ever spent and I'd buy it again if I have to.:)

Just checked Whiteline's most recent catalogue. The 18 and 20mm adjustable sway bars were marked to be discontinued as of Aug of 08 and they're probably all gone now. Actually about half the items in the catalogue are marked to be discontinued... It really sucks because Whiteline had parts lineup for corollas dating back to the 70's.

Newb question: Will 8th-gen swaybars fit on a 7th-gen car? Are they totally compatible that way?

Reason I ask is that Hotchkis still offers an adjustable 19mm rear bar for the 8th-gen cars (part of a set that includes a 29mm front bar -- both hollow bars:(

Rear, possibly. Front, I don't think so (configuration of the exhaust manifold is different).

oh man some fender bars...i would love that. I was thinking of getting some fender bars off of a Honda and configuring them to a Corolla. How does a rear sturt bar work. There is no way to get the strut towers from the. You have to go through the sides of the back seats.

Also forgot to mention Fortune makes a Full coil over suspension. 50mm piston, fully andonized, custom spring rates available, preload, top hats with camber plates, and 40way adjustable. They are comparable to the Tein Flex coil overs. Im picking up a set in the next couple weeks for cheap. The group buy price is 875.

Yeah but from the feedback I have been given from friends that have had them on there cars specifically Acura TL they are way too stiff. You feel every bump on the road. Im not dogging the Ksports, if you like them go for it, but I rather go with the Fortunes. I have received very good feedback from there users.

Yeah, I didn't expect much out of my Ksports anyways. It's just a daily driver. Perhaps later, if I get serious, I'll get a quality set. Maybe Buddy Clubs. The min and max on the Buddy Clubs look really crisp and precise.

You've got the tein lowering springs listed as linear but they are progressive:

    http://www.tein.com/products/s_tech.html

    http://www.tein.com/products/high_tech.html

I've heard doing auto-cross that progressive springs can be unpredictable in the transition area between softer and stiffer coils causing premature traction loss if setting up for the corner is not done carefully.

I am planning on setting up my Corolla for H-stock and it looks like I'm stuck with Tokico HP because there is no way I am screwing with inserts on a DIY job. You can use any front sway bar but no mod to the rear one so I am planning to do new OEM main bushings and end-link bushings in the rear and up grade the front sway-bar bushings to poly. I will be looking for cheap stock wheels preferably with some good performance tires already mounted for dirt cheap so people let me know if you are unloading your steelies in the next few months.
