Instead of looking at them as marines, look at them as individuals. Just because these individuals who happen to be marines set bad examples for the rest of them doesn't mean all marines in general are douchebags. Marines are recruited from the American public, so blame the American public for raising such horrible individuals. I do all the time, and with lots of swearing. LOL :D These same individuals are the same douchebags on the streets who don't happen to be marines. Douchebags are everywhere and are assimilated into any group. Just my two cents.

What were you in? To claim that Marines are stupid douchebags is very ignorant on your part. You must have been in the Air Force or something. where you get stress cards right? Marines are some of the bravest men and women in the world. And to even classify them as stupid douchebags is absoultly appaling. There are stupid people in every branch of the military the a small few ruin it for the vast majority. I was in the Navy for 7 years, I have done 2 cruises and back to back tours in IRAQ. I have worked with and know alot of marines navy, and Air Force. With that being said I have noticed that every single branch of service has its share of idiots. And yes there are alot of them. But not the majority.

I dont condone anything that stupid people do.
I think it is very sick that someone would even think to throw a puppy over a cliff. But regular ass civilian people do the same or even more stupid shit on a day to day basis more than the military. The military is very closely scrutinized because of the war and everything that is going on in Iraq. Look on Cnn on a day to day basis and you tell my how many civilian people are doing sick shit. How many times do you see people killing THEIR FAMILIES kids and all? This world is becoming a very sick place. But you should feel lucky that their are Marines and other service members out there protecting your freedoms. And not let the actions of a few spoil your attitude towards the rest of these service members.

and you attemping to discredit another persons opinion is even more ignorant on your part.

she does feel lucky. but that doesnt change what she has experienced personally during her 6 years in the military, and the opinions that she has formed over those 6 years. and she is free to voice those opinions as long as she isnt attacking anybody directly.

im also closing this thread, its a touchy topic and "arguing" opinions is like religion or politics... nobody will reach a middleground.
