How much can I sell my car with blown engine?

Right now I'm a little over 50/50 on selling my car and get a different one. I'm leaning towards finding a lightly modded integra gsr, or an eclipse gsx. I would sell my car as is, but it will be missing a capacitor for the system which I sold already. The car has about 212,000 miles on it and about 7grand on mods. If I would sell it as is would 2,000 be too much? Also would it be better to sell all my aftermarket parts then sell the rest of the car in stock mod to some junkyard?

^^ probably the best way to go...

Look around in the newspaper classifieds and you'll see cars with blown engines selling for under a grand, usually around 500-600. The problem then is finding someone who is willing to take a busted car and pour money and time into fixing it. A salvage yard will always take your car...

You won't get any money for the car if it's got a blown engine. You'd be better off swapping in a really cheap engine, returning to stock, and selling the parts.

yea and even then not many would buy a "shell" (car without engine). And if you have a salvage title, you probably cant sell it for anything more than a parts car.

dang, so basically if I don't continue with my car, I'm basically throwing alot of invested money away. Well with everyone's input so far, I think I'll just keep going with the car. It's just that I thought I had my money issues covered until I had things pop up in life and one of them is paying college. I guess I'm not gonna change over for an integra, so that people will still not confuse me from another person's car. Just like driving an integra or other hondas.

Turn the car back to stock, sell ur aftermarket parts, put in a good 4afe engine (they are going for 450~500$ Canadian, and labor isn't that bad for a straight drop in like that), so put ina running engine, and sell the car... a bit more work, but best return ...

^^^ya true, think about it, you put a 4afe in for maybe grand after labor, you can easily sell the car for 7 grand with all the mods you have. Stock corollas for you years are going for 7-9 grand for nice ones, with a new engine, you can make easy money off it

man that sounds like a good idea. The shop that's gonna help me out are my friends, so I don't think I'll have to worry about my car being tagged a salvage car.
