    Found my Tacoma replacement - should pick it up within the week

    2005 Toyota Tundra Access Cab SR5 V8 4x4 w/36k - black w/towing package. $15,995. Insurance went up about $120/6mo...but hopefully it's worth it. :)

    I hope I don't regret it due to fuel prices...but I think the mileage will be slightly better than my Tacoma.

    Until I get bigger tires, anyway. :p

    I was getting between 370-410 miles on 21.6 gallons. That was with the stock 265x70r16's and stock gears. On the 285's (33's) with stock gears, if I drive like the thing is going to fall apart above 2800 rpm, I just got about 350.

    I dunno if they changed it in '05, but the fuel light comes on with 5 gallons left. 21.6 x $3.91. :( But it is a great ride!!

    Signed the loan stuff today - 5 years at $286.xx/mo. Hopefully I'll get it paid off in two - we'll see. Hopefully I'll pick it up on Tuesday! :D

    Congrats I hope you have many pleasant miles in your new Toy.
    I replaced my 95' Tacoma after 115,000mi with a new Corolla XRS. same engine but slightly better mileage:cool:
