    HHO mod Corolla

    Desperate times require desperate measures....

as we all know in TRDForums, + dog, gas prices are a pain in the arse...
    well...

thanks to going to school to learn electrical wiring and fixing computers, I've learned to work with electricity and learn quite a bit of no-no's...

    making this intro shorter...

I think I'll be the first HHO modified corolla owner here.

    I'll just need...

    gauge 4 wires
1/2 or 1 gallon durable plastic container... tupperware kind
    hot glue gun
    baking soda for reaction
    2 vacuum T's
2 brass nipples to connect the vacuum lines to the container
obviously gear to make a custom mount and some nuts and bolts and straps.

but first I need to buy the stuff and mount the brackets for the lab mice 'rolla

Basically what this does is break water apart into hydrogen and water vapor (or brown's gas)

it's safe to produce... yet once burned it's highly flammable then it turns into a mist, water vapor.

    before I hear the....

"Saber's gone mad... he;ll say it'll run on just that the 1zz"

nope, Gas/hydrogen hybrid for me... I'll probably forget to fill it up at times lol.

let's see what else to say....

expected MPG improvements, some places even say 70%... I just expect some 20~25% tops

but my odometer will tell. I usually ran 190~200 on 20$ when it was 72~73c the liter.

so, with gas prices on 90c I expect the same mileage with the same 20$

time to brush up on my Hypermiling skills...

good luck. burning hydrogen will save some mileage but nowhere near the efficiency of a hydrogen car which uses a electron separation membrane to produce electrons instead of actually burning the hydrogen.

indeed I won't be running only on water... but atleast to save on 20% of gas bill is enough for me to waste 100$ in the search of happyness

This works we have been running this on a Ranger and Explorer pre 96. Works well, however....on the newer cars with ecu's the computer will not allow that big of a change before it reverts to default settings.

yea, that's why I need a line conditioner for the O2 sensor and lots of patience and a potentiometer resistor and a huge knob

Does this HHO really work? Sounds like a scam to me, but I've been searching online and there is a lot of info on it.

Couldn't you just clear the ECU by grounding the battery terminal? It sounds pretty tedious to do it like every other week, but it should work right?

Clearing your ecu is not the problem. Whenever it reads something out of its tolerance it reverts back to a so called "default" program. Will call it a get me home or to the shop program. There is a way to change your ecu, however I wont be posting that.

well... I got fired from my job.... YAY!

time to build this baby up...
already got the stainless Stell containers, 60feet of wires
some plastic tubing to connect both containers.... need some PCV valves...

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well... drilled the holes on the tops of the canisters, and placed 1 bit of plastic piping.
    connecting them

need a second wider pipe with a PCV valve connected to it or a plastic nipple
I'll have to go to a friend's shop to make a hole in the canisters.... stupid hard steel lol...

    stay tuned :p

post some pics when u can.

i was thinking of doing this...you gotta drill a hole into your air intake or manifold..

two tubes running from the plastic container with the water..one for idling and the other for high rpm?

then u gotta connect to the battery and ignition?

gonna put a friend of mine to hook it up to the gas pump relay, he'll know what to do.
about drilling a hole into the manifold, nah, I'll just put a plastic nipple into the bend before entering the manifold

and yes picture will come soon, Canon XSi gets here today

After your done with all of this please do a write up and put it in the DIY section. That should help alot of people out. Plus more info on that big knob would help, and maybe you could make some and sell them
