Looks fantastic. Did you do it by hand or use an oscillating buffer?

6 hours is fairly normal. I don't know about the 4 step but I usually do the 3 step mothers deal. Instead of the mother's stage 1 pre-wax cleaner, i just use a polishing compound because it pretty much does the same thing for me plus it polishes the car. Then I will do two light coats of the sealer/glaze and lightly buff it. Then I would do step 3 where the actual wax comes in. Do 2 light coats and maybe do a couple more coats onthe hood and trunk and roof. Then get rid of all the extra wax build up with my trusty old oral-b tooth brush and Then spend a good 30 minutes buffing the car.. this process lasts me about 2 months with the car being parked outside everyday in 90+degrees weather in the sun or about 6 months parked in the garage.

Now the part that sucks is after the 6 hours of cleaning the outside of your car, you get too lazy and tired to clean the inside of the car. lol

1)car wash (10 bucks for the bottle)
    2)claybar (20)
    3) rewash
    4) polish (40 bucks)
    5) sealant (40 bucks)
    6) glaze (25 bucks)
    7) wax (25 bucks)
    8)tire shine (10? 20? cant remember)
    9) armourall all the trim (5 bucks)

Ya'll with no surface area on the paint. I'm the jealous one. Full detail on the truck is a 2-3 day process.

You know to be completely honest its people like you I really appreciate. Most people i know just take their cars to the automatic car wash and waste their money. Unlike them I love putting the hours of effort into cleaning my car just so when im done I can say I did it and at least have a little pride in my car.

Looks good man keep up the good work:)

clay baring is rare for me. once you do it, you never really have to do it again as long as you take care of your car. when i use polish compound, it becomes just as smooth. anyway, don't clay your car if your paint is already smooth.

oh thats another mistake people do, don't strip your wax and wax your car where sunlight is hitting you directly. not very good for the wax.
