I've been trying to get it right for a long time, some people adjust the locations of their pedals to make it a bit easier, but I found a solution that seems to work for me. Take your shoes off!

By taking my shoes off I was able to heel-toe much more smoothly, maybe this will help others. ;)

I could never drive without shoes.. but maybe try switching to driving shoes? I love using Sparco Pumas and I will be picking up a pair of Piloti Monzas as soon as I have some disposable income.

I wonder how no shoes helps?

I'm thinking it has to do with a normal shoe being almost flat on the bottom while your foot has more of an arch. But it could just work for me.

its because the soles are way too thick for percision footwork. Even drummers use driving shoes because they claim they can feel the pedal better.

Personally I cant even clutch correctly if I'm wearing timberlands

I tend to save a lot of my old sneakers to use just for driving.

Wrestling shoes are a good alternative as well, because they tend to be less expensive and already come with a worn-in feel.
