Need help on a cell phone plz

Hi there, I was just wondering if anyone knew of any cell phones (gsm/sim card recommended) that has a full QWERTY keyboard.

My husband said that I can buy a new one...i currently have the Blackberry Pearl and do not want to pay the Blackberry Internet. If I have a different phone than the Blackberry, I can have the regular internet which is practically half the price....

    so.....any suggestions out there?

I'm guessing AT&T since most BB Pearl users on it. In that case Moto Q or IPhone FTW!

Browse tmobile's website. They probably have a feature where you can narrow down phones based on certain requirements. (At least AT&T can do that)

Also, on topic of blackberry, I think like 60% of blackberry users are Verizon.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a phone that's not SIM compatible much anymore. I liked the BlackJack. The new one is too thick in my book.

they have a xv6800(at&t) which is not bad.....thing is, i have verizon wireless, and i don't really want to pay for internet cuz i pay alot already. best thing about this phone is that it has wifi. so whenever i'm in school i can just connect and use the internet.

BlackJack 2. it's a windows mobile based phone and treats me very well. it does everything the BB does but it's cheaper...the only thing it lacks is wifi.

oh, it has built-in GPS (which the iPhone lacks).

barring that, i recommend anything made by HTC. their PDAphones are utterly spectacular.

I was looking at the pantech online yesterday ...is it a fat phone? I have realized that I am very picky when it comes to picking out cell phones.

^um...NO...and i want internet..just don't want to pay for the Blackberry $20 dollar plan i like the $5.99 better. i will look into the pantech more...checking out the reviews.

I am considering this...but I'm afraid that it might be too wide for me...I want to see it up close...

the pantech is too thick for me (the sides).

Wow, 7 days? Do you use the internet & or instant messaging? I have to charge my phone everyday also since I'm constantly on the internet & aim.

nope, i don't use either...i text, rather than use the internet. the BJ2 has one of the best batteries on the market, though. :) check out reviews on it!

as a little anecdata, i'd been doing research on this before...i was dead set on an iPhone by the end of this year, as they'll be switching from EDGE to 3G (faster network) by December. i figured if i couldn't afford that, i'd get the HTC Touch or Tilt (whichever i could reasonably afford). i did more research, and realized the Blackjack is really the best bang for the buck. great phone, great battery life, windows mobile OS, and RELIABLE.

i gave the Pantech about a thirty second look - if you use your phone a LOT, that isn't the phone for you. i'm not a fan of the Blackberry operating system, though they're ridiculously popular with the business crowd because they integrate well with most business applications. they all have mediocre battery life, and do well with internet access.

    http://reviews.cnet.com/smartphones/pantech-duo-c810-at/4505-6452_7-32730547.html

wow. now, i'm all for sliders - my previous phone, a Samsung D807, was a slider - but if cnet says it's disappointing and subpar, that's a huge reason to avoid...especially when a large amount of the phones released by HTC, as well as the BlackJack, are 3G phones.

my sister in law had a slider samsung..not sure what model, but the screen went black and wouldn't turn on so she couldn't see who she was calling, what she was doing, or who was calling her...after 2 years of having it..just in time for her contract renewal and to get an upgrade. so i'm skeptical about slider phones.

wow...really? my Sammy survived a dunking (and many, many drops...ridiculous heat...etc) and still works...i'd just rather not rely on a phone that's been submerged in water. it's now my backup phone/phone i take with me to work out, ride the bike, etc.
