It's been done w/ Matrix hubs. Look up Dr. Tweak's old "Hellish Mantis" project.

so that means that hubs from a 9th gen corolla would also fit since they use the same suspension setup that the matrix uses

yup. A 9th gen would work too.

Toyota uses 5x100 so technically almost all their makes and models with 5 lugs will work.

Not all Toyota's use 5x100 bolt pattern.;)

I doubt if the Matrix/9th gen hubs would bolt right on. It may require some work.

He has a GE head and the only 1.6 liter 4 cylinder I know is the 4AGE. :D GE heads have the valves angled at 45 degrees from the top, while FE heads have valves angled at a sharp 15 degrees from the top.

Jspex, correct me if I'm wrong. :D

The guy who got banned was banned for being rude and not having a clue how to deal with people in any way, shape or form.

I believe his 5-lug conversion came from a Camry which was 5x114.

Just out of curiosity (remember I drive a big Toyota) What is the purpose of converting to 5 lug on a corolla? You don't need to support the extra weight. H3ll, 5 lugs on a Tundra is more than enough, and I'm running 6.

I was doubting the camry setup would work but we will never find out..

rollatuner110: all 4AGE are 1.6L, there is a 7AGE hybrid that is can be put together using a 4AGE head and 7AFE block.. think of it like a 3ZZ hybrid.. but turbo4ag is the 4ag expert around here.. i'm throwing out my 7AFE as soon as I have the monies.

Oops. My bad. I typed 1.8 instead of 1.6. D'oh! But the differences between GE and FE heads is due to the valve angles.

I remember that user. Slowrolla. LOL :D
