Instead of swapping motor, rebuild it for a high compression motor.go to monkeywrenchracing.com and you'll find piston, vavles and etc.

Not worth it. I would save my money and by a better car. You have to be really dedicated to your car to get an engine swap. Plus its very expensive. 700 + for the engine, not much power difference, and installation will cost just as much.

It will fit though. Same engine for the most part.

LMAO. Well wat ever u get that 3spd will kill you. I say u might as well SAVE up, buy an M5 engine, cut up u'r car to make room for the RWD hump, get a NEW 6pd tranny, Stretch the engine bay carefully, loose the hood, and buy a wing. All in about 50,000. But u will have the satisfaction of beating a celica.

Oh and u will need a bigggg Gas tank. That V10 gets 7city 8 highway. lol

Automatic 3 speed Corolla that wants to keep up with a Celica? Sell it and buy a car with a better platform and potential then that. Why don't you just buy the Celica? LOL

3sgte is your best bet. you would probably need a new transmission, and it is going to cost you as much as a down payment on a new car.

this car resembles my 3sgte powered 97 rolla, with the exception of the rims, color and a few other things, which no longer exists due to some idiot who t-boned me. I swear by the 3sgte and highly recommend it to anyone looking at doing a serious engine swap in the corolla. if I can find the photos I had of it, I'll post them on here for you guys to check out.

Go with the black top 3sge BEAMS engine out of the JDM Altezza (210hp N/A) and turbo it. I went with the 3sgte out of the JDM Caldena and swapped the cylinderhead with the above cylinderhead, which allowed for allot more power. I also had to swap allot of other stuff like the wire harness, ECU and so on, in order for it to work. But in the end, it was well worth it.
