That thing sounds and looks like crap. The idle sounds like a full blown NA Honda motor. They certainly don't know how to tune it right. It should not backfire like that.

It would be a cool swap if all you were going to do is drag in a straight line. There's no way in h** you could take corners with that thing even if you tried to drift it. The thing is back firing due to the guy bouncing off the rev limiter. It probably could use a good tune as well. If your going to do this then why not put a twin turbo v8 in the thing like this:

You guys are forgetting this corolla is a built to be a drag car. Handling is not an issue, it'll be like going to NHRA finals and telling the driver/team of a 6 second drag car, "your car can't turn." They don't care. As for how it sounds, if you spend a day on a drag strip, that's pretty much how all fully built drag cars sound like, backfires, irratic idle and all

I used to hate the sport (and still I don't find it very intresting) but I give respect where it is due. Many people have said a 2JZ in a corolla can't be done, well there it is.. its been done.. and i'd do anything but hate on the car or the car enthusists who put it together.

It can do burnouts, but it can't handle or put the power to the ground. For heaven sakes, it's not even a Corolla anymore. meh *2 thumbs down*

    corolla shell..

the only thing that bothers me is weight distribution. with a heavy engine like that in the front and having an already light weight rear on the corolla, the weight distribution would be so bad you wont be able to handle the car around corners in semi high speeds
