Well, it is a Mitsubishi afterall with the 4G63 motor. It's a great motor for sure, but I'm not too excited about it's reliability. But then again, what do I know? :D I'll have to see how the EJ20 compares to the 4G63 when I finally get my WRX.

btw, I'm going to have to drop out of the buy list. I've weighed my options and I've decided to save my money for my next project car.

I've got a buddy who's selling his WRX for around $16,000 here in San Diego. If your interested, this is it: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.j...17000&cardist=8

This thing is fast and the guy treats it like a little baby. It truly is a sweet car and if I had the money, I'd buy it myself.

Only $16,000!!!! Used cars are really cheap in US.
I want to buy a WRX or even a STI too.
A 04 WRX is around $24,000 in Vancouver Canada and STI is around $30,000:(

Us canucks are starting to see some discounts with a few makes... but on a whole there is still a large price discrepancy between Canadian and US MSRP.

What's the status on the S/C , did anyone get it done yet?

Seems like there's a problem or else they would be out already. Keep in mind, the CarverCharger for the 8th gen will be out within the year.

Its cause of the US/Canadian dollar difference. So they are just a bit more cheaper here. It also depends on where u buy a car. You can really great deal on SUVs now, cause of soaring gas prices.

Really want the supercharger for my 01 :)
Anybody heard about the new Lancer Ralliart? Unlike the previous gen, the new one has 4WD + turbo, around 240hp or so. And it's only $30,000-35,000!! If it's really that cheap, then I really want it. :D

as far as i know they are the one of the good ones. i can't turbo mine (they don't have a turbokit for the V6 ones, has to be all custom). RIPP has a S/C for the V6 taht would give an extra 130HP on stock internals....which is not bad at all, but a bit expensive. shit...everything seems to be more expensive for the eclipse. a header is like 1200.. 8(

ok that was wierd, anyways since you guys are talking about that now I just wanted 2 share with you 2 that I used 2 own a 2002 eclipse spyder with 2.4, I turbocharged it no problems (custom), it was easy and cheap and yes faster than a v6 but... I helped my friend turbocharge a 2002 eclipse v6 5spd custom also and yeah there is less space to work with and its a little harder but it would take v8`s all day long no problems, and cheap by the way... just thought i would add :)

there's no problem fitting a turbo in the rs and gs. u can find a turbokit for htis model. but it's gonna be harder for the GT and GTS. best and complete kit that i know of is the RIPP S/C.....that's all. u can put a turbo for it, but it's gonna need a lot of work
