Selling the car would be the best. It's 100% weight reduction!

    Drilling a muffler!?

Hey guys what do you guys think:

Drilling a hole in the stock muffler of an 8th generation Corolla.

I am thinking for the sake of less restriction.
    I know, I know,:
One could drop the hundred dollars or so and buy a less restrictive muffler
    It's ghetto as hell
    Stupid
    Other

    Just humor me.
½ inch hole? 1 inch, 2 inch? Legality? Effectiveness? Noise? Front side? Back side? Side side?
    What do you think?
    Thanks!

*shakes head* Drilling holes in a restrictive muffler won't make it any more efficient. Of course it's not legal. Despite all this, if you want to make power and noise for little cost, you're better off just removing the muffler entirely.

We sure are getting some strange new members lately...

Just remove the engine! That's the best modification ever. That's a lot of weight reduction FTW! :D

I would advise against it the carbon coming out of the exhaust wherever that hole is will make any paint look black and it corrodes any metal quicker. The carbon and any reminentes of oxygen adhere to the metal and makes it rust. I dont think it would be a good idea in my opinion. If you want it to be loud like everyone else just remove the muffler and use a metal coat hanger to hold the pipe up.

If you cross wire the daisy chains, I find that you can actually bend the very fabric of the space time continuum. :D :D

Alright, since I know where this thread is going....downhill.

To answer your question, drilling a muffler is not going to do a thing. Save the money and get either a axle back or cat back.

    So this thread is locked.
