^^ Exactly what he said. It's a moronic thing to do. If you want to go lower, you will have to spend money. It's a given. You'll just have to buy lower springs or coilovers.

I'm lowered 4 inches or more with a front lip and I don't scrape at all. I might nick it a little on extreme dips, but that's it.

do not cut them! first off you just spent money on some nice ass springs, i love my s-techs man. ive cut stock springs before and riden in alot of cars with cut springs. VERY bad idea. it will completly screw up the spring (which you just spent good money for) and then your s.o.l when the car messes up. just look around, guarantee you can find lower sprigs if thats what you want

Just because they all do it doesn't make it correct.

Wow, you are extremely misinformed about everything. Struts do not drop you at all. You will remain at stock ride height. Get new springs. If you want to play around and modify your car, be prepared to spend some money. That's just the way it goes. I had to go through 2 or 3 sets of suspension setups before I got to the one I liked. There are no cheap solutions when it comes to modifying your car.

This would be perfect for him.

they are usually very close to what they claim. make sure you put them on and that the spring is set in the right place, that will effect how they sit ad therefore how high/low they are. i would say just got ahead and get the matrix springs man, if you dont like it turn around and sell them on ebay

mmk, you can also adjust how springy the ride is by getting adjustable struts and making them still with bump and rebound dampening. and if he only wants to drop it more, then go ahead and get some matrix springs. i mean, i never said they were the best but if he wants the drop then go ahead and get those and then some nice tokico or kyb struts that are adjustable (or bilstein if you can find them). there is quite a bit more to the handling of your car than just the spring itself
