    Cold Air intake

I have never owned a new car before so take it easy on me. I am thinking about getting a CAI, but my question is, does it void out the waranty if you use one that is not from TRD? I had a friend with a Nissan truck that he bought new, and with that, he had to buy a certain intake to keep the waranty. I dug through the search function (maybe not enough), but could not find anything. I will continue looking through though.

    Thanks,

    Ty

yup,it void your warranty when you use an aftermarket cai(not trd)and it doesnt give you that much gain but breaths in alot of air.

Cool guys, thanks! Is there any poor mans mods on these that I should do?? I am not in the know for Toyota's, this is the first one I have owned for several years. The last one was a 86 Tercel wagon sr5 with 4wd.

Or just buy a K&N drop in filter till your warranty runs out. My buddy did that with his cobalt and theres a little bit of a difference. Plus they last a lifetime (or so what they say) lol

You would have to ask them in person. And yeah, I think they would have to put it in for you unless they tell you otherwise.

i think some dealer you dont need the company product and i think(not for sure)acura or honda dealer sells aem intake but to get the warranty you have to buy it from them and get it installed from them.

    Cold Air Intake

I would use a CAI intake but remember to Change it back to the OEM Intake before you take it in to the stealership for service. Otherwise just wait until your warranty runs out to be safe. Just my 2 cents
