    Rubbing

    Hey everyone

I have a set of 205/45/R16's that im planning on putting onto my 01 prizm after winter is over. I was just wondering if I would have any rubbing problems on the rear quarter panels or fenders in the front.

    thanks everyone

Yes, you will rub. The rear is always worse than the front. I recommend you roll the fenders before you install the wheels. A new stiffer suspension will also help greatly.

Depends on the offset of the wheels... If it's +40, you won't rub.

But I still recommend you to roll your fenders.

I have 205/45/16 and it did rub when i went threw big bumps. And it will rub more when u have extra passenger in the back. As long as you roll it, you'll be fine. Roll with the fender roller tool, not the cheap baseball bat!

im actually planning on getting 205/45 or 50/16's myself, i hope they wont rub

also guys i wanted to know exactly what does the number 7 in 16x7 mean, i thought it was width in inches, then a 205 tire which is width in mm cannot be = 7 inches? now can it?
